Bing eats
Flippy is hosting the photo which captures how we’re doing in terms of weaning the kittens off the bottle and onto moist food. Bing is the only kitten who shows any interest in eating kibble mush from a bowl, and while she lacks some finesse, she approaches the task with gusto and enthusiasm. It takes about 10 minutes to remove all the gusto and enthusiasm with a damp cloth when she’s through. The two boy kittens show no desire to eat from a bowl, and will sit next to Bing, watching her eat, while crying out for me to feed them from a bottle. So I do. I figure they’ll work it out eventually, and besides, bottle-feeding is a good excuse to have cuddles.
Oh my goodness.. that is one messy face :-).

Those little kittens have sure done a number on your hands. You might need to sport a pair of leather gloves for cuddle time! :P LMAO
Posted by Expat on 01/09 at 11:57 AMI fixed the “scratches” problem by just trimming the kittens’ nails. I’ve done it twice now, and while they wiggle a bit, they’re really pretty good about it. I often rub their feet while they eat from the bottle, so hopefully they’ll be good about letting people trim their nails in the future. My hands do look pretty awful, but my worst scratches are further up my arm, where the largest kitten, Tie, tries to “climb” me whenever I reach down to pick up one of his siblings.
