Deliciously satisfying

Are you one of those people who loves to play with bubble wrap, and who will entertain yourself for hours while playing with even lowly virtual bubblewrap?  If so, you might appreciate this little video clip I recorded from a show on the science channel.  Our DVR automatically tunes itself to the science channel when it’s first turned on (that will make us look smart if anyone breaks into our house and turns on the TV), and last week there was a show about a company in China which manufactures toy dolls.  I recorded a little clip of the show using the digital camera because I was mesmerized by the visual of trays of baby heads, combined with the glorious popping sound they made when they were removed from the mold.  Here’s the video:  rubber baby heads.  As always, it might be more efficient if you right-click on the link and save it to your computer rather than trying to play it through your browser (depending on how fast your connection is).

On a related theme, here’s the thing I love most about Whitney Houston.  I laugh and laugh and laugh…

This entry hasn’t been very dignified, so in an effort to raise the maturity level a bit, I’d like to post a link to the North Shore Animal League’s website, where they’ve announced their Spirit of Compassion Award.  One of their vet techs and her husband have been designing some great medical aids for animals, and the website features a photo of the chair they made for dogs with megaesophagus.  It’s a really nice story, so go read it to clear the Whitney out of your head.

  1. I love the bubble wrap game.  Reminds me of the hours of time I invested in playing that old game Minesweeper wink
