Kitten update

We had to leave the kittens unattended last night for about 6 hours while we went to the hockey game.  I asked the vet if it was okay to leave them alone and unfed for such a long period of time, but she felt it was preferable to moving them to someone else’s place for a day, moving them back again, etc.  They were certainly hungry when I got home, and I think the little food delay was good for Scampy the runt, as he showed a real appetite and zest for eating for the first time.  Ever since today’s 4am feeding (that’s when we arrived home), he’s been eating eagerly and seems more energetic.  Bing’s eyes are starting to open… just a little bit of her left eye was open this afternoon, but this evening about half of both eyes were open.  I guess she still can’t really see anything, but it’s pretty neat to see her changing.  The eye colour freaks me out, though… she looks like a little zombie kitten.  Tie continues to grow like a bad weed and will be a gargantuan monster at this rate.  His paws are huge.

So far I’ve learned a lot, most importantly, you can never have too many cotton balls.
