Someone please let me sleep in!
I’m so tired I can barely think. You can read Flippy’s site to find out all the horrible details about our endless day at multiple doctors’ offices, but let me just say that one office visit was so long that I read an entire book from cover to cover while we waited. And when I finished the book, the doctor still hadn’t come into the exam room (and no, the book wasn’t “Dick and Jane Go to School” or anything like that—it was a real book, 144 pages filled with words). I suppose I shouldn’t complain, as Nancy is the one who’s scheduled for surgery, and scheduled for a cortisone injection in her back tomorrow, but dammit, I’m so sleepy. I haven’t been right since the day we set the alarm for 6:am to take Dante in for his ear surgery, and things were complicated early this week by thunderstorms which kept me up babysitting the German shepherd. Oh, and last night, Frank and Jackson had a big fight around 4:am, so that was another night of perfectly decent sleep ruined. I don’t know how new mothers/fathers do it—if I had a baby who kept me up all night for months on end, I would just cry and cry. In fact, I’d cry right now, but that would just delay me getting to bed. I have to do it soon, as we have to be at another doctor’s office in 9 hours for Flippy’s injection. Where’s that Calgon to take me away?
OH - you can come over anytime and sit in the hot tub with us - better than Calgon - I hope today was better! Hoping for good news about Nancy
