Superzoo 2006
I know many people are anxious for a report on our trip to Superzoo 2006, but I’ve been so exhausted since coming home that I haven’t had any energy to write! We met lots of wonderful, friendly people, and brought home samples of some fabulous new products, and I want to write about all of them. I’ll do that tomorrow, I promise. In the interim, here’s a photo of what we brought home with us, including 31 cans of dog food, 6 bags of frozen raw food, and over 50 packages of Greenies (click the photo for the full image). My arms are about three feet longer than they were before we left the house, stretched from lugging all this through Mandalay Bay.
Wow.. that’s a lot of loot
.
What do you thing of the frozen dog food. I am contemplating supplementing Coco’s food with frozen raw.. but do not know anyone who has used it.

Posted by jan on 09/26 at 04:07 PMColl, I’ve been giving the big dogs the frozen food as a snack. The first package I opened, Steve’s Real Food for Pets, is formed as small round pieces. The big dogs are supposed to get 40 pieces per day if it’s their main diet, so I’ve been giving them about 5 pieces in the evening as a treat. I give it to them frozen, which is even suggested on the packaging, but it can also be thawed in the fridge. The dogs do seem to like it, but I find it unappealing. Whether frozen or thawed, it’s supposed to be served chilled, and cold, wet, meat patties don’t get my digestive juices running.
If you’re just using it as a supplement, the frozen food is really convenient. As a main diet for our large dogs, it would break our bank.
