Wee bairns
By my estimation, the wee bairns are now about three weeks old. They now can see and hear, they walk/run and support their weight on their legs (they don’t just drag themselves around), they’re doing a bit of climbing, and they’re each developing a distinct personality. They like to purr and cuddle, and are terribly fond of dinnertime. They’re still not pooping normally, but once every two days is better than not at all.
oh how precious…they are absolutely adorable.
I really admire you for the time and effort spent caring for them.

Your yard looks great….have you contacted National Enquirer about Juan Valdez, or tried selling bits of your wall on eBay? People have done quite well selling sillier things - like the guy who was selling one of the hurricanes pre-Katrina, in jars. He showed photos of himself running around in wind, holding jars up to catch it. Sold quite a few…..Posted by Carina on 07/03 at 06:53 PMPoor Juan Valdez has been oozing moisture and has turned into something which looks like a Rorschach test. However, we’re working on a new image of a skull with a thought-bubble over its head on a different part of the wall… stay tuned for updates.
The smoke from the fires in the Desert National Wildlife refuge is so bad, it’s been making my eyes burn. Perhaps I should be bottling the smoke and selling it on eBay!
I spoke to the construction folks (they’re actually the people who do security on the construction site) about a week ago. The man I spoke to said they’d found homes for two of the cats, and that his wife wanted to keep the little calico. I told him that if possible, he should encourage people to take two kittens if they have no other cats, and he agreed with me. I haven’t heard from him since, but I intend to call him this week.
