Talented kitten

Looks like I’m almost two years late in finding this adorable video, but better late than never:

Update:  Here’s a nice story about Lola’s new life post-adoption.

  1. Hi there…just found your blog through Dumb as a Blog. Do you have any backstory on this kitten (Oddball)?

  2. When I first found this video, I searched online to see if I could find any updates about Lola.  I found one story which said that she’d outgrown the leg deformity while still at the Maxfund shelter and had learned to walk normally.  However, I can’t find the story again to give you a link to it!  I’ll keep searching, and if I come up with it, I’ll definitely post it for you.  In the meantime, here are a couple of articles with more details, but they’re both still from 2006.  I can’t find any information about Lola’s adoption, or life post-adoption:

  3. Hey, I found the missing story, and I even found one about Lola’s adoptive family!  In the first story, the folks at Maxfund say that Lola is learning to walk on her hind legs, but apparently, she never did completely give up her fancy handstand.  I’m sorry this isn’t a backstory, in the sense that I don’t know anything about the kitten’s origins, but at least it’s some cute information (and the second link includes a photo slideshow, although I couldn’t get it to work):
